Job Description


Responsible for developing local recruiting resources; conducting orientation and training; direct employee engagement activities; coordinating background screenings; serves as a human resources liaison for employees and management; work with management to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws and regulations.


  1. Recruit applicants through job fairs, unemployment offices, universities, community, and other recruitment and networking activities.

  2. Coordinate the flow of candidates through the hiring and orientation process

  3. Conduct a minimum of two new employee orientations per month

  4. Design and conduct periodic training for all levels of staff

  5. Counsel employees and managers on human resource related issues

  6. Work with managers of assigned programs to maintain employee files

  7. Maintain and report statistics on defined key performance indicators (KPI)

  8. Coordinate and conduct employee engagement activities

  9. Process all employment related paperwork: salary authorization, separation of staff, purchase orders, tax forms, I9 Forms, etc.

  10. Complete assigned data entry

  11. Meet retention goals

  12. Conduct compliance reviews and take necessary follow up action with management and staff

  13. Conduct assigned safety drills and inspections

  14. Input required information and data

  15. Conduct assigned background screenings

  16. Conduct exit interviews for assigned programs.

  17. Assist with responding to unemployment claims and attend hearings as necessary.

  18. Supervise administrative support staff where applicable.

  19. Report any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation immediately to supervisor or department head.

  20. Other duties as assigned.

  21. Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or 2 years of relevant experience.

  2. Valid driver’s license

  3. Valid auto insurance
