Job Description

Position Title: Supported Living Assistant Director

Reports To: Director/Regional Director

Supervises: Program Coordinator, Administrative Assistant

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct the regional activities of Supported Living.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Assist supervisor with financial management oversight including budget management, billing, expenditures, waiver budgets, bad debt, unbilled, and bank accounts of individuals served.

  2. Provide staff supervision; determine staffing needs, staff selection, training, performance/incentive reviews, and disciplinary action.

  3. Maintain certification and proactive involvement in training and development of staff, including MANDT training, SAT, and departmental trainings.

  4. Compliance with applicable Federal, state and local regulations; CARF standards, Medicaid Waiver, and policies and procedures of Benchmark Human Services.

  5. Assist with the development and expansion of program services by actively seeking and meeting potential referrals, maintaining a successful and department, assisting in new market areas including being a mentor as requested, and being present with excellent attendance.

  6. Actively participate in Director Meetings, Departmental Meetings, Management Rallys, committee meetings, state association meetings, state sponsored meetings, and others as required.

  7. Complete quality assurance functions including regular home visits, quality monitoring, file reviews, outcome measures, incentive program monitoring, client finances, health care coordination.

  8. Maintain professional relationships with case managers, families, auditors, and government officials.

  9. Prepare for and participate in both external and internal audits.

  10. Work cooperatively with human resources, accounting, IT, vice presidents, other directors, and department heads.

  11. Must maintain good attendance throughout employment.

  12. Other duties as assigned.

  13. Comply with all standards to assure the health and safety of all individuals.

  14. Report to work as scheduled.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Five years progressive management experience in human services; experience working with people with developmental disabilities in residential settings

  2. Bachelors degree or 5 years experience required

  3. Valid driver’s license

  4. Maintain valid CPR and First Aid Certification
