Job Description

This full-time, creative and fun position will develop daily recreation activities that promote growth and independence to people with intellectual and physical disabilities. . This position will perform all the functions of a Direct Support Professional (toileting, feeding and behavioral needs) and assist the Program Coordinator(s) and Assistant Director in supervising, supporting and training Direct Support Professionals. Provide training to clients in all identified areas and function as part of the interdisciplinary team. Must be willing to flex schedule according to client’s need and needs of the day program.  Coordinates activities for Consumers being served within Day Program.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1.  Ability to create and manage tasks performed by others

  2. . Effective communication skills with staff, management, individuals and other internal and external stakeholders

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1.  Valid Driver’s License

  2.  Experience working with children or adults with developmental disabilities preferred

  3.  High school diploma or equivalent
